It has become a family pilgrimage every November to Cloutierville, LA, just south of the state’s oldest town Natchitoches, home of the Festival of Lights celebration every December. We visit the Little Eva Pecan Store, quite a unique place. Two things bought this year, including the best pecans ever, are the lavender soap and briny salt. Love both items. Little Eva also has a myriad of pecan delicacies and lots of Louisiana souvenirs including items related to Clementine Hunter, the famous painter from the central Louisiana region. Also, while you are in the region, visit the historical sites along the Cane River and the Festival of Lights in Natchitoches.
